137th Wayne’s Classic Car Run

The arrangements for the September 137th Wayne’s car enthusiasts drive and lunch are below:

– Wednesday 4 Sep. – the forecast is a balmy 19 deg, with very slight chance of rain. Tops down I reckon.

– starting at the Rivulet Café, bottom of Anglesea Street, South Hobart, around 10.15am for morning coffee.

– parking – plenty of space in the new parking area so park as many as we can there as it’s a wonderful photo opportunity and leaves spaces closer to the swings etc for the young families..

– departing around 11.15am and arriving around 12.30pm for lunch. The cost is $30 a head, with two courses, 5 choices main and 2 desserts

– Venue clue – We are heading in a Southerly direction. I seem to recall that Wayne took us there during Co-vid days..

– RSVP required by 5.00pm on Monday 2 Sep. paul.haddad@utas.edu.au.

– wear your name badge if you have one.

Cottage Pie + Steamed Greens

Beef Massaman Curry with rice and condiments.

(Note:  Sweet Potato Frittata | Winter Salad | House Relish is available for gluten free/vegetarians, BUT YOU MUST ADVISE THIS CHOICE WHEN YOU ACCEPT TO GO ON THE DRIVE)

Also when leaving the C3 café we nominate a leader and nobody should leave until indicated by the lead car.

By accepting this invitation, you are making a commitment to attend the drive and lunch. If you withdraw after the deadline or do not turn up on the day, you also accept responsibility to pay for your lunch if required by the venue.  This is to avoid the organiser being asked to cover your costs (as has happened in the past).

JCCT AGM – 2024
Sep 15 @ 11:00 am

The 2024 AGM is on Sunday 15th September at 11am.
Venue is the Oatlands Pancake and Crepe Shop in Oatland’s Main Street.

AGM will be upstairs in the Conference room, expected to go for approximately 1 hour, with the opportunity to partake in lunch after.

RSVP is a must for attendance and lunch by Monday 9th September to Jenni on 0438 807 646 or jenni-des@bigpond.com

As usual, the election of a new Committee will take place. The present Committee has been serving the interests of Members virtually unchanged for a number of years now. We would urge all members to take part in the running of the Club and put your names forward for consideration at the AGM. It is not too onerous a task, and helping fellow members make the most of their Club experience is very satisfying. The present Committee are there to help and guide any new participants to help them gain the confidence to settle into their new positions. The Club can only move forward if we have new ideas and the means to progress them.
So please give it some consideration!

You can download and print a Committee Nomination Form here; please complete it and forward it to Jenni at the above address.
