Vale Athalie Lucille Wiggins
10^th December 1947 – 27^th January 2021

The Jaguar Car Club has lost one of our dear members. Ath (as she liked to be called) was loved by all who knew her, always the life of the party.

Some of our older members will recall the Christmas break-up parties that were held at the Wiggins property at Sandford for many years.  Ath was always the Hostess who loved entertaining all who attended.  For the late stayers, it was always the traditional dip in the pool with the ladies floating around with their wine glasses held high.

Athalie held many Committee positions in the Club throughout the years. Our esteemed Treasurer and Membership Officer and always in the tent at State and National Rally’s helping out with the Tally Sheets for judging and any other jobs that needed doing.

Athalie was also a very keen motor sport enthusiast. She had her favourite drivers, Barry in his early racing days, Peter Brock and in later years Craig Lowndes and look out if anyone pushed them around.

Jenni and I were extremely lucky to have travelled with Barry & Ath in our Motor homes on the Mainland leaving us with some wonderful memories along with attending some National Rallies together.

You will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting you and our condolences are extended to Barry and family.

Rest in peace our dear friend and remember it’s always five o’clock somewhere 🥂
