Jaguar National Rally 2009 Maps
Getting to Hobart...Map 1 shows the Devonport Spirit Terminal, the CBD, and the easy access to the Bass Highway which leads you to Launceston and Hobart. Map 2 shows the Bass Highway run between Devonport and Launceston. You have to option of detouring into Launceston for a stop, or continuing south to Hobart. To save a few minutes, you may choose to turn off the highway to head south via Perth; otherwise, continue towards Launceston, and take the clover-leaf turn towards Hobart. Map 3 leads you south from Launceston down the Heritage Highway to the picturesque village of Ross. We suggest, time permitting, that you stop in either Campbell Town or Ross for a driving break. Map 4 continues down the Heritage Highway from Ross to Bridgewater, where you will cross the River Derwent before making the final run into Hobart. To break up the drive, keep watch along the section between Oatlands and Kempton for silhouette heritage figures on either side of the highway. Map 5 brings you down the Brooker Highway into the Hobart CBD through the northern suburbs. Please note the changing speed limits along the Highway as you approach the city. Although not clear, this map includes the Baskerville Speedway (top centre, to the right of Gagebrook, immediately above the "C327"). Map 6 shows the Hobart CBD area, including Rally Headquarters, at the Grand Chancellor Hotel in Davey Street. |
